SPU Contracts and Payroll Information
You will receive a contract by email after the start of each term.
Your contract will include the following details of your employment, which will be updated and renewed each term that you are hired to teach:
Department: “Per program you are teaching for” (Sara Schenirer Program)
Program Level: “Undergraduate” or “Graduate”
Rank: Adjunct Professor
Term: “Term Title (Term Code)”
Course: “Course Code and Title”
Course Schedule: “Frequency, Meeting Days, Meeting Time”
Workload Credits: “# – Per course” ; i.e. 3 pay credits/4 pay credits/1 pay credit, etc
Salary rate: “$ – Per program level”
Salary Total: “$ – Workload Credit x Salary rate”
The contract must be sent back signed and dated with your course syllabus attached, as noted on the cover letter.
Your employment as an Adjunct Professor/Part-Time Employee at SPU will begin and end with each term, according to the term start and end dates.
Adjunct payroll is processed through a semi-monthly pay cycle, with paychecks issued on the 15th and the last day of the month.
You will be paid via direct-deposit to the bank information provided during the Onboarding process.
As of July 1st, 2024, Saint Peter’s University will be using Paycom for all Payroll and Human Resources services.
You can access the Paycom web application and set up your account, by following these simple steps:
Open your web browser and ensure you are logged into your Saint Peter’s email account.
Click on the “waffle” menu located in the upper right corner of your email interface.
Scroll down until you see the Paycom icon, then click on it.
Your account in the Paycom web application will open in a new tab.
There will be a new notification symbol on the top right of the Paycom Home Screen – this is the initial setup checklist you are requested to complete before JULY 3.
Additionally, in your Paycom account, you can:
– Access earnings statements
– Change contact information
– Change bank information
– Review your deductions
– Change your withholdings
– Access tax information

Please note: SPU pays the adjunct salary at a set rate per credit, as indicated on your term contract.
Any additional payment you are expecting per a Sara Schenirer employee, will come directly from Sara Schenirer and is not related to nor processed through SPU.
