Watermark Instructions for Fieldwork

At MSV, fieldwork logs are completed on Watermark. Your students fill it out there and you will mark it there as well.

Here is the information you need to access Watermark.

Login to: http://login.watermarkinsights.com/ using your MSV Outlook account as your username. If you have a filter, you will need to whitelist this website. (*If you get an error message when trying to access this website, please go to the end of this email for suggestions.)

(If you have never logged into your Outlook account, email itsupport@sarasch.myiqsolutionsllp.in and ask that your Outlook password be reset. You will receive a response email explaining how to access your Outlook email account.)

When you are logging in to Watermark for the first time, use “forgot password” which will send a reset password link to your MSV Outlook account.

Once you’ve logged in to your MSV Outlook account, you can follow the link in the email you received from Watermark to reset your password. This email may take 30 minutes to an hour to arrive, although it usually comes sooner than that.

Once you’ve logged into your Watermark account, on the left side of the screen, switch from Timeline to In Progress.

Your course(s) will appear. View Student Logs will appear on the right side of the screen.

When you click on View Student Logs, you will see the list of your students who have submitted logs.

(If you only want to see if there are logs waiting for review, you can toggle the switch at the top right to “Only show Awaiting Approval”.)

When you click on the Student’s name, you will see all their log entries, with any that need to be reviewed at the top

If you click on the date at the left, it will take you to the complete log. Please note: there is no Category Type. The duration of time will be listed. Students do not need to/should not upload files. If you choose to reject an entry, please provide a comment so the student understands why it was rejected. (Obviously the time indicated on the log should be consistent with performing/observing the activities listed.) Please note, in the Fieldwork component of your course, you and your students can see an exemplar that reflects the type of activities that should be noted on Watermark. Obviously, students should not copy the exemplar! EDUC 527, 528, 621, 622 and 675 students should ONLY use the Category “Early Childhood Special Education”. EDUC 710 students should ONLY use the Category “Early Childhood General Education”. If students use the wrong category, please reject their entry with an explanation.

In addition to their logs on Watermark, (as cooperating teachers cannot verify the fieldwork hours directly there) students need to submit this Classroom Observation form on Canvas. Please put a due date for it to be completed, signed by the cooperating teacher and submitted to Canvas. Electronic signatures are NOT accepted! Please stress that the classroom log must be complete, with school name, date and hours filled in, as well as the Cooperating Teacher signature. This due date is also the due date for entries to be completed on Watermark.

Fieldwork should be worth 15% of their final grade. You will be accepting or rejecting ALL fieldwork (which contains activities) on Watermark. You will mark the 15% on Canvas, based on how well they complete the fieldwork on Watermark in addition to submitting the Classroom Observation form on Canvas.

* If you get a security message from your browser, click “reload” and that should allow you to access the website.

If you are still getting an error message, you can try clearing your cache and cookies. (Here are instructions for doing that in Chrome.)

Please note that Watermark works best with Google Chrome. If you cannot get it to work in Chrome, you can try Firefox or Edge.
