Assignment Resubmission Instructions (Canvas)
Please follow the instructions below to set up your assignment so that students can resubmit if needed.
If you would like to allow students to resubmit their assignment without a hassle: On the standard assignment settings, Submission Attempts cannot be set to “Limited – Number of Attempts = 1”. You can change the setting to multiple or unlimited attempts.
This will allow students to resubmit until the final day that the assignment is open,
If this is a Turnitin assignment, please continue with the following steps:
Once the assignment has been created, click the Gear icon in the Turnitin settings.
Scroll down to Optional Settings.
Scroll down to “Generate Similarity Reports for student submission” and choose the second option: “Generate reports immediately (students can resubmit until due date.”
VERY IMPORTANT: Turnitin resubmissions are only available UNTIL the due date, even if the assignment is open after that time.
