MSV Website Instructions

Email office.com

Canvas office.com and click on the 9 dots or Apps icon on the left side. Then click on the “More Apps” icon and click on Canvas

Email 

You can log into your University of Mount Saint Vincent email account by clicking on the “Email” link on the Sara Schenirer My UMSV page using your Microsoft username and password provided by the college.

**MSV requires two-step verification for your email. You MUST set this up the first time you log in. If you get locked out of your email, you will need to call the Helpdesk at (718) 405-3340 (Monday through Friday, from 9 am to 5 pm EST).

It is important to be able to log in to your MSV email as the only way to access Canvas when the website is down is through that email.

You can access Canvas through your Email by clicking on Apps on the left side. Then click on the “More Apps” icon.

Canvas 

You can access Canvas by clicking on the “Canvas” link on the Sara Schenirer MY UMSV page using your Microsoft Email and password.

Library (information that students received) 

Students can access the Library by clicking on the “Library” link on the Sara Schenirer My UMSV page.

Research articles can be found by clicking on Access Library Databases.  You can get into the databases from off-campus by clicking on the name of a database, and a popup asks for your CMSV Canvas username and password.  You will need to include the .sssstudent in your username when you login (eg. jdoe.sssstudent).

You can also search for ebooks by using the Library Catalog link.  You will not need to login to the library catalog, but will be prompted for your login when you click on the name of a specific title.

Self-Service 

You can access Self-Service by clicking on the “Self-Service” link on the Sara Schenirer My UMSV Page, clicking on “Enter Secure Area,” and using the unique nine-digit ID number and pin provided by the college (by default, the pin is your 6-digit date of birth in mmddyy format).

Required Cybersecurity Training

You are expected to complete all assigned Cybersecurity training. There is NEW material each semester, therefore you are required to take the training, even if you took it in a prior semester.
